Local Christian school soon to break ground on secondary expansion

Central Virginia Christian School (CVCS) continues to move forward in its commitment to providing Christ-centered education for families in our community. During the 2025–2026 school year, CVCS expanded to include grades 9 and 10, operating at an off-site location while plans for campus growth were finalized.

Significant progress has been made toward a permanent expansion. CVCS successfully purchased land from the County, completed the rezoning process, and is now nearing the groundbreaking phase of a major building project. The expansion will include a new academic building and a gymnasium, creating a dedicated space to serve the school’s growing secondary program.

The target date for opening the new facilities is August 2027.

For the 2026–2027 school year, CVCS will expand to serve grades 9 through 11. The school will complete its full secondary education program in 2028 with the addition of grade 12 and the graduation of its first senior class. This expansion marks an exciting milestone in the continued growth and mission of CVCS as it equips students academically, spiritually, and socially for lives of purpose and leadership
